OR

& number for each piece
of equipment moving in the
shipment.

View the number of cars you have entered
After you go to another page and then come back to this page, the yellow
bar on top of the Equipment, Weights and Seals box shows the number of
cars you have entered.

To add weights
Select the Weight Unit (unit of measurement) and the Weight Type.
Type the weight for each piece of equipment.

Tip: If you have the actual
net weight, that's all you need to enter.
If your Weigh Method is destination agreement, then you are not required
to enter weights.
(Net weight is the weight of
the commodity being shipped, which is the difference between the gross
and tare weights. Gross weight
is the sum of the weights of the commodity, packaging and rail car.)
To include Tare, Allowance or Pallet/Dunnage weights, click the ‘Add weight details’ link.
To add seals
Type the seal number in the box provided. You can enter up to 20 seals
per piece of equipment. Each seal must be on a separate line, so press
the 'Enter' key after each seal number is entered.

Specify "waybill instructions"
One waybill is created from shipping instructions. If there are 2 or more
rail cars in shipping instructions, a shipper may choose to have separate
waybills created for each car in the shipment.
